No Hallowe'en For Me...

I have been watching the weather flip flop for the past several days from partly cloudy and nice to nasty.

Nasty won, meaning that I can't decorate the yard because all of my props are weather-sensitive (in other words, very non-UL listed for outdoor use and would probably fry you if you got too close in the rain, and everything would more or less be destroyed if they got soaked).

Pootie!  Oh well, there's always next year.

I'm so sorry, sweet-pea! Maybe you can weather-witch it out to sea in time.
That really sucks, and my thoughts are with you in this trying hour.

P.S. My neighbor said, "If this were a wedding, you'd rent a tent. Tell him to rent a tent."
Message passed.

I'm ok now, I subscribe to the belief that everything happens for a good reason and somehow, this is to the best.

At least I keep telling myself this. No, actually I'm OK, I'm going to make the best of it and the trick or treaters that do come by will get treated royally.

Bummer. Here, in Kansas, we have to be prepared for anything because, it can all change in the blink of an eye, and we take everything the weather man says with a grain of salt - they're just guessing anyway.
Maybe decorate the living room, invite some friends over, and throw together a grown up Halloween bash?

Oh, no!! There's sometimes a last-minute weather reprieve, so be prepared just in case :)

I'm so sorry. I've heard loads of stories of people having trouble this year. Like Dixie said, what about setting up elsewhere? Windows, porch, garage, living room....

Actually I'm going to plans B and C and I had a friend this morning offer to professionally video the haunt in my backyard later on in November. I'm moving it all inside and having my children stare out the windows and under the eaves.

Ahh man! And I was worrying about our measly 20% chance of rain. You can totally come over to my house, we're having a costume party Friday night. You could be here in probably 5 or 6 hours, we have a futon with your name on it.

Maybe the weather will shift or change between now and then. Its freaking 90* here!
