Invisible Visitor

Last night marked the third or fourth time that I have had a visitor in my room and who jumped on my bed and walked around. Last night I was awake, in fact, I had just gotten into bed. The visitor always is around the foot of the bed, I can feel it jump lightly up, take a few steps and then it's gone. I wish that I could say that I am making this up but I'm not; I truly believe one of my deceased cats has come home. Maybe it is Samantha, who was always the demanding one wanting to be loved, or it could be Elvis, the big gray longhair who was a bit skittish. It could be Trouble or Little Bit or Serena but probably not Serena because she was almost feral.
Maybe they have come back looking for their skull that is kept in my curio cabinet, or maybe they finally realize that they can jump on my bed any time they want without being shooed off. I see fleeting shadows often in the house, something running from room to room, about the size of a cat, maybe they want to check up on everyone.

Or maybe they just want to say hello.

sounds like someone's popping in to see how you're doing.

Do you sleep with a window open? Perhaps a raccoon? Or a skunk? Actually, I think I'd prefer ghost cat over either one of those :)

Nope, I don't sleep with any windows open, although I wish that I lived in a climate that we could ( we have excessive humidity and heat).
I think that I would rather take my chances with a ghost rather than a skunk, I've dealt with chipmunks, squirrels, rats and mice in the house that the cats bring in, I don't think I could deal with larger game in my bed :)

Seems like you have some old friends visiting you. Well, at least they are friendly, it makes all the difference, believe me.

Do you get a good feeling or a negative scary feeling when it happens? Just curious. You have other Ghosts at your house too don't you?

If you insist Mr Macabre. I had my experience a couple of years ago with the weekly visits of dark shadows at night. Although they did not hurt me in any way, I can tell they were not friendly either, I think they wanted to scare me. Most of the time, I would open my eyes in the middle of the night to see that shadow standing in the middle of the room like if it was watching me. I would then sit in my bed and tell it to go (My reaction didn't show it but I was quite afraid). Their are three experience which were more physical. The first one was when I opened my eyes with the black shadow bent over me at only a couple of inch of my face. Second one was when I felt something creeping on my bed and putting it's hand each side of me. And finally, the last time I saw that shadow really takes the cake. I saw the shadow at a distance and told it once more to go away and leave me alone. That night the shadow did not simply dissapeared it "melt" in the floor but with some scary lament. Just thinking of it gives me shivers. That's my most notable experience. Some will say these are dreams, some will say I'm crazy. Maybe, who knows? But for my part, I do believe this all really happens because that same spirit seems to have visited my sister a couple of time in that same period but we didn't know about it until recently. I finally got rid of them but I never really understand what they wanted from me. May I should make a post about it in my blog to give more details to those of you who are interested in paranormal things.

Sorry for keeping you hanging Mr Macabre :-)
Have a good friday!

I don't get a feeling one way or the other to tell the truth, it's just like an invisible critter just jumped on my feet on the bed.
I did have other ghosts but I think that they have moved on. We had a lot of paranormal activity for the first two years and then it started to wane. Occasionally, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas, there might be some unexplainable smells of pipe smoke, baking or women's perfume in the house.

Pumpkinrot...my mother actually had an encounter with exactly what you saw, a figure 'blacker than black' in the dark. I believe it could have been a demonic entity but couldn't know for certain. Scary scary scary stuff! I'm always interested in hearing about other's paranormal experiences! Thank you so much for sharing!
