Everybody loves pie

I really haven't met anyone who doesn't care for pie. Pie is one of those comfort foods that just goes to the soul and nurtures it. One of the wierdest things about me are my tastes in foods: Favorite cookie: sugar cookie. Favorite cake: Birthday cake with white icing. Favorite ice cream: vanilla. Favorite pie: chess.
Plain and simple is the way to go as this pie recipe.

That being said, this is a light and quick pie recipe that tastes fluffy and summerlike, while still retaining all the fat and calories! Yum-O as Rachael Ray says! Annoying catch-phrase as Mr. Macabre says!

Summer Pie

1 can sweetened condensed milk (I could simply DRINK this stuff, love it!)

1 tub Cool Whip

1/2 cup lemon/lime/orange juice, your choice (I mix 50/50 lemon and orange sometimes)

1 packaged graham cracker crust (or the new Nilla Wafer crust)

Mix milk, Cool Whip and juice in large bowl until fully combined. Pour into pie shell and refrigerate until set (usually overnight).

I have been known to wield a knife at the person trying to take the last piece of this pie from the fridge.

Making fun of Rachel Ray will always win you cool points in my book. And yes, I do keep a running tally of cool points.

Mr. Macabre, I love it when you post recipes. They make my heart flutter with excitement (or is that jitter with cloggy cholesterol?). YUMMY YUMCAKES.

My mom used to make this when we were kids, it is yummo! You said your favorite pie is "chess"?! LOL! I love sugar cookies and vanilla ice cream too!

I've gotta try this one. Sounds great! . . . and I thought I was the only one who could eat sweetened condensed milk right out of the can :)

Captain, if you haven't had chess pie, you've missed a treat. Think Pecan Pie without all those annoying pecans, just the sugar-laden, thick, syrupy goo and crust. Ahhh, makes my butt bigger just thinking about it!

Will dig out the recipe and post it...

Carrie Mae, Rachael Ray like Dora the Explorer, has a voice that grinds into the depths of my very soul. I don't really mind her that much but SHE DON'T %$#@& WELL FIGURE IN THE PREP TIME IN HER %$#@^& 30 MINUTE MEALS MAKING THEM WELL OVER AN HOUR! And if I hear EVOO one more time I will hurl. I guess I really do mind Rachael a little.

Just stay away from Martha, I'm a member of her cult.

Oh OK, I looked it up. I thought it was a humorous typo, cheese pie/chess pie. Sounds sweet and tasty.
