How to ruin your life...my Axeworthy Ghost

If you want to ruin your life, and destroy your sanity all in one prop, then make an Axeworthy Ghost system.  However, if you build one and get it to working, it's about the coolest thing you can imagine.

The second part (would have made it all one movie but didn't know I had Windows Movie Maker for Windows 7 until this morning) showing the tension wheels...

I cranked it up last night...it was mesmerizing.  I placed a black light pointing upward in the ghost's path and as it approached, it recharged the glow paint and glowed bright green and then slowly faded as it rounded the loop (about 225 feet), before recharging again when it got to the blacklight again.

Then it derailed and I went inside and watched I Love Lucy.

Hey Mr. M...

Okay, first just let me say that I am very impressed by your determination, patience and MacGyver-esque ingenuity to put this together! Fantastic! I made the hubby come in here and watch the videos to see if he would make me one. He said he was "disinclined to acquiesce my request." Curse him! ;o)

Have you pulled the old "If you really loved me you'd make me one" on him?

I think the word 'patience' is the key...this thing tried and still tries every ounce of patience I have.

Most awesome! However I live in a Town House and the neighbors already dislike the drumming and occassional fire gatherings around the fire pit...I can only imagin what they would do if I rigged a awesome ghost like this! Happy Halloween!

THAT... is pretty friggin' great.
At night, with the glow thing you mentioned... holy cow.
Bravo.

Impressive! You are a braver person than I. I try to stay away from attempting to create anything motorized lest I should collapse into a crumpled weeping heap in my backyard. :)

Amazing work, I'm impressed! That must be cool to look at it at night.

Very impressive while it lasted! Have fun getting it back on the rails.

I, too, am impressed with this installation, as well as with your patience.
Is 'I Love Lucy' the traditional show for viewing once one has set up the Axeworthy Ghost? ;)

AWESOME, Ms. Macabre!

Also, I like your new profile pic. VERY festive and Halloweenish.

Also, another comment: I agree. The black lights on the ground as the ghost flies by would look really awesome and spooky. If you plan to do the black lights idea, please let us see a video of that.

KUDOS!
