At a loss for words

Have you ever seen something so utterly BREATHTAKING?!  I was in a convenience store in a little podunk town here in Alabama and I see this objet d'art of divine magnitude staring me in the face.  A deer with soulful eyes, wearing a confederate kepi, draped with a confederate flag, nestled with a moonshine liquor jug and a revolver at his hooves.   Made in China.

Someone, anyone, please take my hand, I'm a stranger in paradise...

oh geez, I was rollin' on the floor with this one! You need to write a book--you really have a way with words/humor...have you read the books by Bill Bryson? My favorite is "Notes From A Small Island" (describing the 'adventures' of an American in England)...check his books out--you write in a similar fashion--hilarious! anyway, thanks for another most entertaining blog entry!

Pam-I haven't heard of Bill Bryson, I most certainly will take a look for his books, and thank you, I owe my writing style to a twisted childhood coupled with a torrid love affair with Little Debbie snack cakes and diet soda.

Dawn-You poor, poor woman. I weep for your state.

Captain-Did you get the Elvis wrapped in the confederate flag ascending into heaven on black velvet painting when you got your deer? It was a buy a deer and get the King combo deal.

Eve-But terrible in the good way, right?

Gretchen-if it did that, I would simply lay there on the floor and die, there would be nothing better to live for.

Let's all bow down to this almighty deer of pistol holding glory! LOL. That's something you don't see everyday. And everything's made in China these days.

"Breathtaking" describes it nicely. But there is something soulful about his eyes, gazing off into the distance . . . or maybe just looking for an escape route :D
