Mr. Macabre needs some advice, he has looked at this coat for so long, he can't see the forest for the trees. This is Mr. Macabre's coat for Hallowe'en merriment. It's 100% wool. I hope that it's cool that night...
The silver skulls are ornamental on the cuffs and on the back tail. It looks kind of plain and I'm not sure about front buttons.
Any suggestions?

What kind of advice are you looking for? The coat is great, and the buttons are really cool. Are we talking how to spice it up some more?
Maybe some trim on the lapels and sleeves? The skulls on the back look a little lonely...maybe a couple D-rings with skulls over the straight part, and then add some lacing (manly lacing of some sort--maybe leather).
Hope that helps! Be sure to post any updates!
Cheers,
Aelwyn

How about something like coffin button covers?

Leave it as is. It has a great understated elegance. It is perfect!
Cheers!
i think it is perfect too. you could wear a cool skull scarf with it.
How about a jabot, that how I'm rolling this year.
You could put a pin on the lapel.
You need an ascot with it (in either a Halloween fabric or with a Halloween pin in it), but the coat needs nothing.
A little bit of decorative piping of some kind (black on black would be my suggestion) around the collar wouldn't necessarily put it too over the top, but honestly - it doesn't need it.
You're going to look marvelous! Can't wait for pictures. :)
Thanks for all the advice! I do have a black silk jabot, a gold vest with black velvet arabesques on it and a shirt with ruffles on the cuffs in winter white that I'm going to wear as well as my top hat. I guess that it's going to remain as is but I might have to go for the coffin button covers for the vest, those are way too cool!
And I definitively need a lapel pin! Thanks to everyone for the advice!
