Good Luck from Frightprops Art

I am so loving this art!  I have bought a couple of things from Frightprops but this old-school horror comic book art in my inbox is what caught my attention!

The scary thing is that he just looks so...nice.  For some reason he reminds me of Humphrey Bogart.

I believe the guy in this pic is Ed Gein. It certainly looks like Gein, and the calendar in the back has November 1957 on it (the date Gein was arrested for the multiple murders and graverobbing). He also has a heart in a crockpot, which is where they found this organ of his final victim when they searched his farm. The skull bowl is also from the Gein murders.

Some cool touches on this: in the background amongst the "masks" on the wall (Gein was known to skin the faces off of corpses and fashion them into "masks") is one worn by Leatherface, who was partially based on Gein. Also, one of the corpse heads in the background bears a striking resemblance to that of Norman Bates mother (Bates was also partially based on Gein).

I actually have no particular obsession with Gein, I just happen to be reading a book about him that was written by the judge who presided over his case!

Ok, you might be one of the coolest people I know! Fascinating observations, I love things like that!
